Printing notes

  • Binary cards are one per page so they're readable from the back of the room. Print pages 1–5 and trim each to the dashed line. Card stock and lamination are worth it — you'll use these all year. The small number in the corner is for you when sorting the pile; it's too small for students to read from their seats.
  • Print in colour if you can. The 🟢🟡🔴 tier markers do real work on the challenge cards. Greyscale is fine — the tiers are also labelled in words.
  • Challenge cards laminate well and get reused all year.
  • The AI for Good poster works nicely at 11×17 if your printer allows it, but Letter is fine.

Everything else is in the lesson

Every other lesson is self-contained — the tiered challenges, run sheet, and unplugged Plan B are all on the lesson page itself, and every lesson page prints cleanly with Ctrl+P. Every lesson also has a generated PDF in build/pdf/ (lessons__week-NN.pdf) if you'd rather not print from the browser.

Regenerating the PDFs

PDFs are generated from the markdown, so edit the handout and rebuild — never edit a PDF directly.

npm run pdf # rebuild site + all PDFs
npm run check # lint docs and sanity-check the PDFs

Files land in build/pdf/ locally and are published to /pdf/ on the site.
